The Old Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Building, at 400 Sansome Street, was built in 1924 by George W. Kelham. The property features a Beaux-Arts Ionic colonnade, while the upper building is fashioned in the Moderne style. The interior is notable for its former banking hall and Traders of the Adriatic, lobby murals by Jules Guerin which were created the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exhibit. The bank relocated to larger facilities at 101 Market Street in 1983, and the building was sold to private developers. Prominent law firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe was headquartered in the building until 2002.
